Shipping & Returns


In-stock items generally ship within 48 hours of receipt of payment. Generations ships orders via the United States Postal Service (USPS) and UPS. We utilize USPS Ground Advantage (2-5 business days), USPS Priority Mail (1-3 business days) and UPS Ground services. The shipping services available for your purchase will be noted upon checkout.

Generations retains the right to use an alternative “equivalent” or “upgraded” shipping service from an alternative carrier, such as UPS or FedEx, to fulfill customer orders. UPS Ground, FedEx Ground, and FedEx Home Delivery are considered equivalent services to USPS Priority Mail and upgraded services relative to USPS Ground Advantage.

If a package and/or its contents are lost or damaged in shipping at the fault of the carrier, please contact us for assistance. We will work with you and the chosen carrier to obtain a refund or replacement product up to the insured value of the order. USPS Ground Advantage and USPS Priority Mail are insured up to $100.00 and UPS Ground is insured up to the full cost of the order. If a package arrives damaged, both USPS and UPS require all packages and packing materials be retained and available for physical inspection by the carrier until the claim is resolved (usually 5-10 business days).

Returns and Exchanges

Items sold by Generations may be returned or exchanged within 14 calendar days of the original date of purchase. Items purchased from Generations and shipped to a customer (i.e. phone order, website order, etc.) may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of the date of delivery, as noted by the shipment tracking information. Proof of purchase in the form of a payment receipt, gift receipt, or packing list must be presented to receive a refund or an exchange. The value of a refund or an exchange is the price originally paid for the item returned or exchanged, plus applicable tax. Special order and/or custom item orders are nonreturnable.

Special Order Item: any item which, at the direction of the customer, must be ordered from the manufacturer to fulfill a customer’s order. Such items include, but are not limited to:

  • Items which Generations does not stock regularly in its showroom or warehouse
  • Items which must be ordered from the manufacturer in a higher quantity than Generations stocks in its showroom or warehouse
  • Items which must be ordered at a timing outside of the regular purchasing cycle from that specific manufacturer

Custom Item: any item which is made specifically to a customer’s preferences or measurements. This is including, but not limited to:

  • Commissioned artwork (e.g. paintings, statues, etc.)
  • Standard items which are modified according to the customer’s preferences (e.g. vestments with changes to standard collar, engraved sacred vessels, apparel made to the customer’s measurements, etc.)

The buyer pays for all return shipping unless the item is deemed defective or was sent in error (mis-pick), in which case Generations will provide a return shipping label. If a refund is required, the refund amount will be the original price of the item returned. Original shipping charges will not be refunded unless the item is deemed defective.
